If you鈥檙e planning a new career and need a degree to move forward, our Access courses could help you find the path to success. If you don鈥檛 already have the qualifications to get a place at university, our one-year Access courses will give you the introductory knowledge you need and help bring your academic skills up to the required level.
These one-year courses are an intensive but supportive route to gaining the academic skills and introductory knowledge needed for university. To enrol, you鈥檒l need GCSE English听补苍诲听maths Grade C/4 or above or Functional Skills Level 2. If you only have English or Maths you can complete the other at the same time.
Our courses
Access to Higher Education Healthcare Professions Diploma
This course has a strong emphasis on the skills required of workers in the health service and will provide you with the entry requirements to apply for a range of options at university. For example, Adult Nursing, Children Nursing, Mental Health and Learning disability Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work. The course also includes the first aider certificate.
Access to Higher Education Medicine and Medical Science Diploma
This course has a strong emphasis on both biology and chemistry and will give you the entry requirements to apply for a range of options at university. For example, Medicine, Biomedical Science, Radiography, Podiatry and Physiotherapy.
Access to Higher Education Science Diploma
This course provides learners with a firm foundation in terms of knowledge, skills and understanding of science and will give you the entry requirements to apply for a range of options at university. For example, Environmental studies, Criminology, Psychology, Biotechnology听
